Palace on wheels CoachesThe majestic Palace on Wheels train takes its boarders to a regal journey to royal Rajasthan through golden sand dunes. While on Palace On wheels, you will feel like a former Rajasthani King.

Coaches and Salons The interiors of the train are too impressive. There are 14 coaches in the train, each named after a former princely state. Each coach is provided with four bedded chambers with plush Rajasthani interiors. The coaches boast of facilities provided in five star hotels to make your voyage comfortable and colorful. Facilities include channel music, intercom, attached toilets, running hot and cold water, wall-to-wall carpeting, and the like. To complete the feeling of royalty, you will get the services of Khidmatgars or attendants, who will offer their services at your beck and call with utmost courtesy. You can enjoy refreshing beverages and snacks, in a lounge from a mini pantry attached with each saloon.

Lets have a look at each coach individually.

The first coach is named as Alwar, which is the first city of Rajasthan from Delhi. The ceiling of the coach is decorated skillfully by cone work and oil in relief work, displaying hunting scenes. Royal emblems and miniature painting are put up in the lounge.

The other coach in Palace on Wheel train is called Bharatpur and is adorned with an interesting color scheme reminding one of the colorful forests of Bharatpur. Coaches and SalonsThe next coach is named Bikaner. Along with royal state crest, scenes of Dhola Maru are depicted in relief work and oil paintings. Then you will enter a coach named Bundi. The walls are adorned with framed and mounted art pieces of the Bundi School of Painting.

The Dholpur Coach has rails made up of teak ply and the royal crest is worked up in gorgeous Zardozi. The Dungagarh Coach has a ceiling decorated by relief and mirror work with some tribal art. Jaipur Coach is mesmerizing as walls and ceilings are decorated with miniature paintings of the famous Jaipur style of painting and frescos.

Other beautiful, enchanting yet comfortable coaches are, Jhalawar, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Kishangarh, Kota, Sirohi, and Udaipur.
